Lanterns
In under an acre of tall flowering trees, established unusual shrubs, herbaceous perennials, bulbs and greenhouse plants, Lanterns really does squeeze everything a horticultural enthusiast could dream of finding in a stream and subterranean-spring fed valley garden.
Since planting began here in 1966, the garden has been developed to include the rare and unusual. Potter around the winding paths in this sheltered plantsman's paradise and you will find a diverse range of plant species and varieties flourishing in both its waterside and dry areas. Lanterns' garden, is a beautiful jungle of colour and fragrance all year round. Tender and rare plant varieties make this horticultural hotspot worthy of a look by the most curious members of the plant brigade.
The variety of stock for sale has been propagated from things growing in the garden. The present owner, whose mother was the garden's creator, can usually be found on site for those of you wanting a natter about all things green. Afterwards you may like to follow Restronguet Hill a short way down to the edge of the stunningly beautiful Restronguet creek and may find yourself quenching your thirst at the famous waterside 'Pandora Inn'.
